Standing Watch: Charlevoix Lighthouse – Magnet by Linda Boss. 2 inches by 3.5 inch magnet with reproduction of the original painting of the Charlevoix lighthouse at an unusual angle. It was done for an exhibit “An Up North State of Mind” at the Charlevoix Circle of Arts and won the best Historic Landmark division. I paint the lighthouse all the time, from different view points, different seasons, different lighting, so I have been looking for a very different, more interesting angle that would have a “wow” factor and I guess this was it. Jim and I were in the boat going down the channel and I was laying back looking up at it as we went by. I thought the angels were really cool against the clear blue sky… and different… and bold… and a little daring. What do you think?
