Standing Watch Charlevoix Lighthouse Note Card

This image is a reproduction of the original painting “Standing Watch”. It was done for the exhibit “An Up North State of Mind” at the Charlevoix Circle of Arts and won the best Historic Landmark division. I paint the lighthouse all the time, from different view points, different angles, different seasons, different lighting. So I have been looking for a totally different, more interesting angle that would have a “wow” factor … and I guess this was it. Jim and I were in our boat going down the channel and I was laying back looking up at it as we went by. I thought the angles were really cool against the clear blue sky … and different… and bold… and a little daring! There it was, my inspiration, my painting!

Details

Standing Watch Note Card is available as a Single card or Package of 8 note cards of the same image. Includes envelopes. Cards measure 4.25″ x 5.5”

The artwork is photographed in natural light. This brings out the true color of the painting. I try my best to match the colors in the photo to the artwork. Slight differences in color can occur due to the calibration in screens from my screen to your screen, and lighting conditions under which the artwork is viewed.
