Imagine the Keeper is an original painting of the Charlevoix lighthouse in a very different style than I usually do. It was done for the exhibit “An Up North State of Mind” at the Charlevoix Circle of Arts. Ok… this was “inspired” by a plein air outing but it wasn’t obviously painted “on site”. I had it floating around in my head for two years before I actually painted it. I wanted to, but the timing wasn’t right. I wasn’t in the mood. This show gave me the opportunity “to let it out” – I feel better now. Sometimes you have to go a little wild and express yourself!
