Shop of the Gulls – Charlevoix. This magnet measures 2 inches by 3.5 inches. The image is a reproduction of a painting of a popular gift shop in downtown Charlevoix overlooking Round Lake. The Shop of the Gulls was owned and run by Jeannine Wallace until the late 1990’s when she retired and sold the business but not the building to Pat Blanchard. Pat ran it for a few years before moving the business South on Bridge Street before eventually closing. This painting was done for the large outdoor fiberglass fish “Charle-Fish”, (17 scenes of Charlevoix) the Red Cross of Northern Michigan’s “Great Northern Fish-In” fundraiser.
