The Story Behind the Art
Jim and I have a short term rental that we have put on AirBnb the last couple of years. It is a lot of fun talking with people from all over. When working on it, I came up with the theme “A Little Art Gallery” so that I could display my artwork. There are a LOT of custom, hand painted features in it. This small “half” accent table was picked up at a yard sale and it fit just perfectly in The Dollhouse. I love this image too. For several years someone put in a lovely garden in on the upper sidewalk area. It added such a pop of color! It hasn’t been there the past two years. Maybe it was too hard to keep up. I hope another dedicated soul takes on the project. It was delightful! It was the inspiration for this painting… a piece of “functional” fine art!

Details
This is a commercially printed mini “PRINT”, not a giclée (different printing process). The ink is a baked on toner powder that is archival. It is printed on 100 lb white cover stock so it is nice, thick, quality paper. This is not a large quantity mass produced print job. Each magnet is hand cut and hand assembled… for a true, hand-made look. The finish is a flat mat instead of the typical shiny. I think it looks like a little painting this way!
IMPORTANT, it is always smart not to put ANY artwork in direct sunlight.
